Kim Johnson, MSN, BSN, RN has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and industries. Starting in 1995, they worked as an RN in the Intensive Care Unit at St Mary's Hospital and later in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at St Francis Hospital. In 1998, they transitioned to medical sales at Hill Rom, where they achieved top sales performance and marketed pressure relief therapies. From 2000 to 2011, Kim worked at Amgen as a Senior Biopharmaceutical Rep, specializing in oncology and nephrology. Kim demonstrated leadership abilities, developed strategy, and provided education and support to patients and healthcare professionals. Kim then joined Carle Foundation Hospital as a Manager of Medical Oncology, overseeing clinical operations and managing a diverse staff. Kim continued their career at Illinois CancerCare as a Senior Sales & Marketing Specialist, focusing on the development of drug distribution franchise and coordinating sales and marketing activities. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Sales Executive at Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation, where they emphasized the importance of investing in vacation experiences. Kim's most recent position is with Heron Therapeutics, Inc., where they have held various roles, including Oncology Nurse Educator and Field Clinical Director, before assuming the positions of Senior Director of Sales and Senior Director of Clinical Oncology & Account Management. Kim went on to earn a Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of St. Francis from 2012 to 2016.
