Simon Crane started their work experience as an English Teacher at Carter High School in 1993. After three years, they moved on to Milton Abbey School, where they worked as an English Teacher, Assistant Housemaster, and Head of Media Studies from 1996 to 2007. In 2007, they joined Michaelhouse as an English Teacher, a position they held until 2012. Simon then took on the role of Deputy Head at Woodridge College in 2013, before becoming the Headmaster of Woodridge College in 2014. Simon left this position in 2017 to become the Deputy Head at HeronBridge College.
Simon Crane attended St Alban's College from 1980 to 1985. Simon then went on to study at Rhodes University from 1986 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree. Their studies focused on English and Psychology, as well as English as a Second Language and Counselling.
