Alejandro López–Tobón

Senior Scientist at Herophilus

Alejandro Lopez-Tobon is a Senior Scientist at Herophilus. Prior to joining Herophilus, they worked as a Research Project Coordinator at Università degli Studi di Milano from January 2018 to September 2020. There, they coordinated a research project funded by Fondazione Cariplo, studying neurodevelopmental disorders through the use of human brain organoids. From June 2015 to March 2020, Alejandro was a Postdoctoral Researcher at IEO Istituto Europeo di Oncologia.

Alejandro López-Tobón has a Doctor of Philosophy from the Max Planck Society, a PhD in Neurobiology and Neurosciences from Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, and a BS in Biology from Universidad de Antioquia.

They work with Brian Rash - Principal Scientist, Morgan Stanton - Principal Scientist. Alejandro López–Tobón reports to Sharath Hegde, Chief Scientific Officer.
