Herron Classical Schools
Janet H. McNeal currently serves as President of Herron Classical Schools, a position held since August 2006. McNeal has also contributed to Force Multiplier Ventures as an Advisory Board Member from June 2016 to April 2023. Additionally, McNeal was the Head of School at Herron High School from January 2005 to April 2023. Academic qualifications include a B.S. in Secondary Education from IUS, an M.S. in Secondary Language Education from Indiana University, and a Certificate of School Administration from Indiana University Purdue University.

Herron Classical Schools is a community of scholars that advances timeless ideas and content, builds a culture of respect and trust, and engages in an urban environment in order to prepare students to be world-class citizens. We are structured around an art history timeline which emphasizes the classic art and literature of many cultures. Herron Classical Schools is a network of three tuition-free public charter schools, Herron High School, Herron-Riverside High School, and Herron Preparatory Academy. Within each of our schools, we envision a racially and socio-economically diverse student body.
