Fred Eisenhammer

Fred Eisenhammer is an experienced sportswriter currently working at Hersam Acorn Newspapers since December 2019. In addition, Fred has been an author for California Bowling News since August 2012. Previous experience includes design and copy editing roles at the L.A. Times from 1988 to 2008, where responsibilities spanned the Metro, Business, and Sports departments. Fred also served as Neighbors editor at Los Angeles Daily News from December 1975 to August 1988, overseeing the production of weekly zoned editions and managing a team of editors and reporters. Earlier in Fred's career, roles included assistant sports editor at Pekin Daily Times and reporter at Daily Illini. Fred holds a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
