Regional Director Of Accounting at Hersha Hospitality Management

Danielle New-Day has a diverse and extensive work experience in the finance and accounting field. Danielle began their career at Hersha Hospitality in 2009 as a Staff Accountant, where they gained foundational skills in financial management. Danielle then progressed to the role of Senior Accountant, where they spearheaded key tasks such as real estate tax expense and personal property returns. Additionally, they played a crucial role in the quarter-end close process for SEC reporting.

In 2016, Danielle took on the position of Capital Projects Finance Manager, where they successfully managed budgets for over 20 major hotel renovation projects. Their responsibilities included collaborating with lenders to ensure accurate draw requests and maintaining contracts with third-party vendors.

Following this role, Danielle joined the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square and Lancaster County Convention Center in 2018 as the Assistant Director of Finance. In this position, they supported the financial operations of the organization.

Currently, Danielle holds a senior management position at Hersha Hospitality Management, initially starting as a Senior Property Accountant in 2012. Danielle managed the P&L and Balance Sheet for three NYC hotels with multiple ownership groups. Danielle also provided senior management with daily revenue and tax reviews, processed journal entries, and ensured accurate coding through monthly reconciliations.

With their wealth of experience, Danielle recently advanced to the role of Regional Accounting Supervisor within Hersha Hospitality Management. As Regional Director of Accounting, their current position, they demonstrate their expertise in overseeing accounting operations at a regional level.

Danielle New-Day attended Cedarville University from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Business Management & Accounting.
