Ashley Hyson

Ashley Hyson (Atz) has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. Ashley started their career at Hershey Entertainment & Resorts in 2003 as a Housekeeping Parlor Houseperson, where they gained valuable experience in maintaining cleanliness and organization. Ashley then moved on to become a Night Auditor, ensuring accurate daily credit card sales and handling guest calls.

In 2007, Ashley transitioned to the role of Revenue Coordinator at Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, where they balanced daily revenue sales and prepared detailed reports for the Executive Committee. Ashley excelled in this role for four years before joining Hersha Hospitality in 2011.

At Hersha Hospitality, Ashley initially served as a Senior Staff Accountant, responsible for preparing and reviewing ledger account reconciliations and ensuring adherence to internal financial controls. In 2013, they were promoted to the position of Regional Accounting Supervisor, where they provided training to staff accountants and played a vital role in property acquisition and disposition processes. Ashley also worked closely with the HHM Accounting management team to address control issues and implement process improvements.

Ashley's most recent role at Hersha Hospitality was as a Regional Director of Accounting. In this position, they managed the activities of the regional accounting team, oversaw the preparation of accounting records and financial statements for managed properties, and ensured compliance with reporting deadlines. Ashley also reviewed and approved property financial statements and worked on organizing team priorities to meet all reporting requirements.

Throughout their career, Ashley has demonstrated strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to process improvement. Their experiences have equipped their with a well-rounded skill set and a deep understanding of accounting and hospitality operations.

Ashley Hyson (Atz) began their education in 1998 at Lebanon High School, where they completed their diploma in Academics in 2001. Ashley then continued their studies at HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College from 2001 to 2003, focusing on Elementary Education and Teaching. Finally, in 2003-2004, they attended Millersville University of Pennsylvania, specializing in Elementary Education and Teaching.
