Chris Allen-Smith

Chris Allen-Smith is a seasoned professional in infrastructure asset management with over two decades of experience at Hertfordshire County Council, currently serving as Group Manager for Eastern Herts and Head of Profession for Asset Management & Maintenance. Responsibilities include leading various teams in managing highway services and countywide infrastructure asset management, overseeing strategy development and maintenance delivery. Additionally, Chris contributes to national standards as Chair of HAMFIG, a group that established the CIPFA 'Code of Practice on Transport Infrastructure Assets.' Chris holds a BEng (hons) in Civil Engineering from Swansea University.
