Rufus Frowde serves as the Artistic Director of The English Chamber Choir since January 2024 and has maintained a dual role as a musician since September 2003, encompassing skills as a conductor, organist, accompanist, composer, and teacher. Frowde has also contributed as a conductor and choral animateur for Hertfordshire Music Service since September 2003. Previous positions include Organist & Assistant Director of Music at Chapel Royal, Hampton Court Palace (January 2003 - August 2023), Acting Director of Music at Northwood College for Girls GDST (January 2003 - August 2003), and Organist & Assistant Director of Music at Pangbourne College (September 2000 - December 2002). Frowde began as an Organ Scholar at Worcester Cathedral (1999 - 2000). Educationally, Frowde holds an MMus in Church Music and Choral Direction from the Royal Academy of Music (2003 - 2005) and an MA(Oxon) in Music from Merton College, Oxford (1996 - 1999).
