Richard Thompson

Richard Thompson is an experienced IT Manager at Hess Corporation since July 2008, overseeing IT functions and strategies for custom applications, integration, and automation. Thompson has also served as a Cloud Lead, developing and implementing enterprise cloud strategies, and as a GIS Advisor, providing leadership and technical expertise in GIS to both central IT and business users. Prior roles include GIS Specialist, focusing on architecture and systems integration of web-based GIS and managing the ArcGIS Server, and Corporate GIS Officer at the City of London. Thompson began their career as a GIS Surveyor at MOUCHEL plc., specializing in field-based asset data capture. Richard holds a BSc in GIS from Kingston University, obtained in 2003.
