Steve Maddison

Steve Maddison is an experienced EHS professional with a distinguished career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as EHS Operations Director at Hess Corporation since June 2009, Steve has held several senior roles, including Senior EHS Manager for both Onshore Assets and Bakken Operations in North Dakota. Previously, Steve worked at BHP Billiton Petroleum as Director of EHS & SR, where notable achievements included a significant reduction in incident rates and the development of emergency response plans. Steve's extensive earlier career includes roles at Rescue Consultancy Services Limited and Tyne & Wear Fire & Rescue, focusing on emergency response and health and safety training. Steve holds multiple degrees in Health & Safety and Environmental Law from The University of Salford and Sunderland University.
