Gerda Verburg is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in governance and international organizations. Currently, Gerda serves as Chair of Sectorraad Paarden and Element NL, and holds the position of Director at IMPACT 3.0, while also serving as a Non Executive Director at Next Food Collective. Additionally, Gerda is a Member of the Supervisory Board of Het Nationale Park De Hoge Veluwe. Previously, Gerda was the Global Coordinator for the Scaling Up Nutrition Movement and held the role of UN Assistant Secretary General at the United Nations. Gerda's diplomatic experience includes serving as Ambassador to the Food and Agriculture organizations of the UN and as a Member of Parliament for CDA. Gerda also served as Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality in the Netherlands. Educational background includes studies at Christelijke Sociale Academie De IJsselpoort.

In Het Nationale Park De Hoge Veluwe komen natuur, kunst en cultuur op een prachtige manier samen. Overweldigende landschappen vol bijzondere plant- en diersoorten, een wereldberoemd museum, architectonische hoogstandjes en verrassende verhalen. Het 5.400 hectare grote Park, met bijna 2.000 gratis Witte Fietsen en drie musea van wereldklasse, is het erfgoed van het echtpaar Kröller-Müller en staat bekend om zijn prachtige diverse natuur. Voor sommige dier- en plantsoorten is het zelfs de laatste plek waar ze kunnen overleven. Een natuurgebied dat ontzettend gevarieerd is. Dé plek om uren te wandelen zonder iemand tegen te komen, om te genieten van de diversiteit van bos en heide, stuifzand en grassteppen.
