Corstiaan Den Uil

Corstiaan (A.) den Uil is an intensivist with extensive experience in critical care and cardiology. Currently serving as an intensivist at Maasstad Ziekenhuis and Het Van Weel-Bethesda Ziekenhuis since May 2021, Corstiaan also holds multiple roles at Erasmus MC, including Medical Director of the Cardiac ICU and Intensivist-cardiologist since July 2012. Corstiaan has contributed to several professional organizations, notably as Chair of the Working Group "Intensieve Cardiologische Zorg" for the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Cardiologie and as a member of the Council for Quality at NVSHA. In addition, Corstiaan is an Approved Supervisor for the European Diploma in Advanced Critical Care Echocardiography and serves on the editorial board of the European Heart Journal - Digital Health. Corstiaan possesses a Ph.D. and MD from Erasmus University Rotterdam, with an academic career that includes roles such as Academic Editor for PLOS ONE.
