Andres Terrazas

Andres Terrazas has over 20 years of work experience in various technical roles. Andres is currently the Director of Product and Solutions Engineering at Hexagon US Federal. Prior to this, they worked at Thermopylae Sciences + Technology for over 16 years, holding positions such as Chief Technology Officer, Director of Software Engineering, and Software Engineering Manager. During their time at Thermopylae Sciences + Technology, they were responsible for product development, emerging technologies, technical professional services, and infrastructure. Andres also contributed to the direction and vision of the company's core software product. Before Thermopylae Sciences + Technology, Terrazas worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Computer Sciences Corporation and as a Software Engineer at Harris Corporation. Andres also gained experience as a Web Developer at DATAMARK, Inc. and The University of Texas at El Paso, and as a Programmer - Intern at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory.

Andres Terrazas has a diverse education history that spans both business administration and information technology. Andres obtained their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida, attending from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed a Masters degree in Information Technology at The University of Texas at El Paso, attending from 2006 to 2008. Their undergraduate education was also at The University of Texas at El Paso, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science, attending from 1999 to 2004.

In addition to their formal education, Andres has also obtained several certifications. Andres is a Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect, having received this certification from Google in July 2023. Andres holds an Advanced Computer Security Certificate from Stanford University, earned in 2012. Andres is also a certified Professional Scrum Master by Scrum.org, obtained in 2012. Additionally, they possess a Security+ certification from CompTIA, acquired in December 2011, and a Software Security Foundations Certificate from Stanford University, received in 2010.
