R. Steve Sellers has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. R. Steve is currently an Advisor at XNET Mobile since 2023. Prior to that, they co-founded Hexagon Wireless in 2022 and held the role of Co-founder/Product & Technology. From 2017 to 2022, they worked at Google, first as a Tech Lead/Manager, where they managed an engineering team focused on improving Pixel in-warranty returns. R. Steve then transitioned to the role of Sr Hardware Reliability Engineer, leading reliability programs for Pixel 1-4. Before Google, R. Steve Sellers worked as a Hardware Reliability Engineer at X, the moonshot factory from 2015 to 2017. R. Steve also held the position of R&D Engineer/Test Engineer at Orano (formerly AREVA) from 2012 to 2015. Additionally, they have research experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2010 to 2012 and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Utah State University from 2009 to 2010.
R. Steve Sellers holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, which they completed from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Utah State University, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. In addition, they have obtained certification as a Professional Engineer from the California Board of Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists, in January 2016.
