Hakki Karaman is an experienced algorithms lead with a strong background in 3D computer vision and research and development. Currently leading teams at Aura and Hexagon AB, Hakki orchestrates classical and AI-based algorithms for holistic face and neck analysis, and drives the R&D of algorithms in 3D computer vision. Previous roles include R&D Engineer at CERN, where novel image processing and machine learning applications were developed for cooling systems, and at nomoko, leading numerous successful R&D projects related to 3D city mapping. With a PhD from ETH Zurich in wave propagation and a diverse educational background including multiple degrees in mechanical engineering and mathematics, Hakki has contributed significantly to various fields of technology and research. Currently pursuing a MAS in Management, Technology, and Economics at ETH Zurich, Hakki's expertise encompasses algorithm development, mathematical modeling, and data analysis.
