Sara Rebeccani

Sara Rebeccani is a Surface Chemistry Scientist at HexagonFab, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to that, they were a PhD Student at Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna from 2018-2021, where they worked on the application of electrochemiluminescence (ECL) as an electroanalytical technique combined to microscopy. Additionally, they worked on the synthesis and characterization of carbon nanomaterials in order to develop biosensors at CIC biomaGUNE from 2021. During their PhD studies, they were trained in a variety of techniques such as NMR, AFM, XPS, DLS and ζ-potential, Fluorescence and UV-Vis.

Sara Rebeccani obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the Università degli Studi di Milano in 2016, after studying there from 2013 to 2016. Sara then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Chemistry from the same university in 2018. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Chemistry from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
