Imke Herholdt

Imke Herholdt has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. In 2012, they worked at KPMG Australia as the Head of the Project Management Office for a firm-wide internal project. Imke later became an Associate Director in Advisory Services in 2014, where they provided financial due diligence services for buy-side and sell-side deals. In 2015, they worked as the PMO Lead for KPMG Global Sales and Markets, managing a global budget of approximately $4 million. Imke also served as a Consultant to the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship at the Saïd Business School, Oxford, where they played a key role in short-listing applicants and performing due diligence for the Chivas Venture competition.

In 2017, Herholdt joined the Ebony Horse Club as a Board Trustee & Vice-Chair, where they contributed to raising funds and improving the education, life skills, well-being, and aspirations of young people in disadvantaged communities. Imke continued their involvement in the nonprofit sector until 2019, working as an Operations Manager at drfocused and as a Consultant/Freelancer for start-ups in the medical technology, female-health technology, and financial technology spaces. In this role, they devised strategies for international expansion and recommended actions to increase company value for a trade sale.

From 2018 to 2018, Herholdt served as the Acting CFO & Business Administrator at My Period Kit (previously Green Pad Concepts), a female healthcare startup in Nigeria. Imke played a vital role in making affordable sanitary products available to rural women, enabling them to attend school and work without interruption. In 2020, they joined AkoniHub as the CFO & COO, showcasing their financial and operational expertise. Most recently, they assumed the role of Head of Finance at Heydoc in November 2021. Herholdt's versatile work experience demonstrates their ability to excel in finance, consulting, operations, and nonprofit roles.

Imke Herholdt's education history starts with their obtaining a B.Rek degree in Accounting, Audit, Tax, and Business Management from Stellenbosch University from 1996 to 1998. In 1999, they pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

Later, Imke attended Cass Business School from 2017 to 2019 where they completed an Executive Masters in Business Administration with a focus on Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Finance.

Additionally, in March 2006, they obtained the certification of Chartered Accountant (CA) from SAICA CA(SA).
