Following their time at Freddie Mac, Nickia worked as an Assistant at the Small Business Development Center before joining Target Corporation as a Market Research Analyst. Nickia then transitioned to Viacom (BET Networks) as a Senior Financial Analyst contractor, where they evaluated financial and strategic performance to provide insights and increase revenue forecasting accuracy. Nickia then moved on to Howard University, where they served as the Senior Director of General Administration and Finance, leading projects that reengineered financial analysis and reduced net losses.

After their time at Howard University, Nickia joined the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) as a Senior Financial Analyst. Here, they partnered with non-finance stakeholders and senior management teams, providing valuable insights for operational strategies and managing a $600M operating expense budget.

More recently, Nickia worked at Possible as a Fellow, and they are currently serving as the Senior Finance Manager - Brand Business Partner at Reynolds American Inc.

Throughout their career, Nickia has consistently demonstrated their financial analysis skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate market factors into actionable insights.

Nickia J. received their Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies - Business Communications from the University of California, Berkeley, where they attended from 1997 to 2001. Nickia later pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance at Howard University from 2006 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, Nickia J. obtained several certifications to enhance their skill set.
