Miriam Ballesteros has worked in a variety of roles in the marketing and communications field since 2010. In 2010, they started as a Communication Consultant Intern at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where they worked on a report on improper media behaviors with ‘Consell de la Informació de Catalunya’. In 2012, they worked as an Online News Editor Intern at Grupo Zeta and as a Business Journalist at Pauta Media S.L., where they were responsible for copywriting in Catalan and English for B30 magazine and ViaEmpresa, and coordination of LaVanguardia. In 2013, they worked as a Content Strategist at bodas.net, where they were responsible for the content and images used on the website. In 2014, they worked as Communications Manager at Salud de la Mujer Dexeus (Consultorio Dexeus S.A.P) - Fundación Dexeus Salud de la Mujer. In 2016, they worked as Marketing Director and VP Marketing, and Head of Communications at Strands, where they were responsible for developing the communications strategy of the company and managing the organization's internal and external communications. In 2019, they worked as Professor of Marketing and Communications at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. In 2020, they worked as Professor of Leadership and Negotiation at AULA MAGNA Business School and as Senior Marketing Manager at Opera, where they were responsible for developing and executing the full go-to-market strategy for a B2C personal finance management app. In 2021, they are currently working as Head of Marketing at HeyTrade, where they are responsible for buying and selling USA, European and UK equities instantly with Open Banking tech.

Miriam Ballesteros has a varied educational background. Miriam obtained their BA in Journalism from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2010-2012, and a Graduate Certificate in Second and Foreign Language Teaching from Universitat de Barcelona in 2007-2010. In 2010, they also attended a one-year Exchange Program at King's College London, studying Communication and Media Studies. In 2014, they earned a Digital Marketing & Social Media Strategy Certificate from Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D. In 2018, they completed an Executive Program in Communication and Persuasion Skills from IESE Business School. In 2019-2020, they completed an Executive Program in Women’s Leadership from IESE Business School. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including How to Think and Write Like a Critic from The School of The New York Times (2020), “Behavioral Economics: Changing Customer Behavior” taught by Dan Ariely from Udemy, and a Certificate in Advanced English - ESOL examinations from University of Cambridge.
