Jim founded HFS Wealth Management in 1994. From the beginning, Jim’s vision was to build a fee-only wealth management firm that eliminated the conflicts of interest that existed with most traditional brokerage firms. As a fee-only firm, Jim created a business that operates under a “fiduciary duty”, doesn’t accept commissions and always has the clients’ best interest at heart.
Jim is heavily involved with the clients of HFS Wealth Management advising them on a spectrum of issues encompassing taxation, estate planning, business structure and personal financial goals and strategies. Jim also spends a significant amount of time nurturing the growth of the employees at HFS Wealth Management. He takes great pride in knowing that the clients and employees of HFS Wealth Management will be taken care of long after his departure.
Outside of work, Jim served on the Dallas Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants as a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. Additionally, he served as a board member and executive officer of various United Way organizations.
