Les Brown

Les serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for HGGC’s Fund III investment in Nutraceutical International Corporation. Les previously served as a member of the Board of Directors for HGGC’s Fund II investment in SSI, which merged with Research Now and rebranded as Dynata, and the exited investment in Serena Software (acquired by Micro Focus International plc), as well as the Fund I exited investment in hybris Software (acquired by SAP SE), where he also served as Chairman of the Audit Committee.

Les is an integral part of HGGC’s investor relations effort and significantly managed HGGC’s $1.85 billion Fund III fundraise that closed at its hard cap in December 2016 in only 99 days, as well as HGGC’s prior $1.33 billion Fund II fundraise that closed at its hard cap in March 2015.

Les previously served as President and now serves as a director of Capital Impact Foundation, HGGC’s affiliated private foundation, which provides global charitable support to children’s causes, cancer research and poverty amelioration.

Prior to joining HGGC, Les was the Chief Financial Officer of Neways International, a Golden Gate Capital portfolio company. Prior to working at Neways International, he was Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Nutraceutical International Corporation, a publicly traded company (NASDAQ: NUTR), which was previously a Bain Capital portfolio company. Prior to Nutraceutical, Les was a Senior Accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
