Don Yackley

Don Yackley has over 30 years of progressive experience in student housing and residential life, currently serving as the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs - Student Housing & Residential Life and Executive Director at the University of Houston since June 2011. Prior positions include Director of Student Housing & Residential Life at CSU Monterey Bay, Director of Residential Life at Portland State University, and Director of Residence Life at the University of Idaho. Additional experience encompasses roles such as Area Coordinator at Central Washington University and Resident Director & RHA Advisor at both Oregon State University and Pacific University. Don Yackley began a career in student housing as a Resident Assistant and Hall Director at Southern Oregon University. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in CSSA from Oregon State University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southern Oregon University.
