Luke Timber has work experience in the field of civil and structural engineering. Luke started their career as a Civil Engineering Intern at McCormick Taylor, Inc. in 2015, where they assisted project engineers with design and documentation of renovations to highway and bridge improvements in New Jersey. During their internships, they also performed traffic counts and various engineering calculations.

After completing their internships, Luke Timber joined McCormick Taylor, Inc. as a Structural Designer in 2017. In this role, they performed field investigations for bridge and culvert projects, designed bridge superstructures, culverts, and retaining walls, prepared construction staging sequences, and calculated material quantities and construction cost estimates. Luke continued working in this role until July 2019.

In August 2019, Luke Timber joined the University of Delaware as a Graduate Research Assistant. During their time there, they focused on their thesis, which involved developing and implementing a procedure for bridge load rating and evaluation using digital image measurements. Luke compared and analyzed strain and displacement data from strain gauges, string potentiometers, and 2D digital image measurement software. Luke continued their research until February 2022.

Most recently, Luke Timber started working as a Structural Engineer at Hardesty & Hanover, LLC in January 2022. No end date is provided for this role.

Luke Timber attended Moorestown Friends School from 2009 to 2013. Luke then enrolled at Lafayette College from 2013 to 2017, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. After completing their undergraduate studies, Luke Timber joined the University of Delaware from 2019 to 2021 to obtain a Master of Civil Engineering degree with a focus on Structural Engineering.
