Brian Kaplun

Brian Kaplun currently serves as a Senior Advisor and Director of Strategic Initiatives at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, a role held since June 2022, following positions as Senior Advisor and Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff. Prior experience includes serving as a Health Policy Advisor for the United States Senate and as a Health Policy Fellow with the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions. Brian has also contributed to academia as a Teaching Assistant at Stanford University and held various roles in community health settings, including Clinic Manager at Arbor Free Clinic and Research Fellow at the Kaiser Family Foundation. Brian's educational background includes a Master of Science in Management Science from Stanford University and ongoing Doctorate studies in Public Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
