Elizabeth Degrange

Elizabeth (Lybarger) DeGrange is a seasoned professional in emergency management and health regulation, currently serving as the Regional Emergency Coordinator at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services since July 2020. Prior to this role, Elizabeth worked as a Program Management Officer at OASH/Division of Commissioned Corps Personnel and Readiness from May 2013 to July 2020, where responsibilities included ensuring the medical readiness of the Surgeon General’s 6700 Corps officers and developing training solutions for various emergencies. Elizabeth's experience also includes serving as a Senior Regulatory Review Officer at the FDA from 2010 to May 2013, focusing on regulatory policy and evaluation of infectious disease test kits. Elizabeth began the professional career as a Biologist at the National Institutes of Health and as a Research Technician at USAMRIID. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Emergency Management from The Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Science in Forensic Science from The George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biology from Wheeling University.
