Larissa Zoot

Larissa Zoot has over 24 years of experience at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), currently serving as Program Operations Manager in the Office of Head Start, where responsibilities include supervising operational planning and developing policies to enhance services for Head Start and Early Head Start children and families. Previous roles at HHS include Program Operations Analyst, Senior Policy Advisor for the Family and Youth Services Bureau, and Special Assistant to the Chief Medical Officer, focusing on policy development and implementation regarding youth development and family violence prevention. Prior experience includes serving as a Presidential Management Intern at the Social Security Administration, a research assistant at the University of Michigan, and a Child Survival Health Specialist with the Peace Corps. Larissa Zoot holds an MPH in Public Health Policy from the University of Michigan and a BS in Community Health Education from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
