Liz Romer

Liz Romer, DNP, FNP is a highly experienced healthcare professional currently serving as Chief Clinical Advisor at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services since July 2022. Previously, Liz worked as a Subject Matter Expert at Booz Allen Hamilton and spent over 15 years at Merck as a Nexplanon Trainer. At Children's Hospital Colorado, Liz was the Medical Director, Founder, and Program Director of the BC4U Program, a sexual health clinic for youth. Liz also held a position as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Adolescent Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, while contributing to Caring For Colorado Foundation as a Project Director. Liz's nursing background includes roles as an ER Nurse at Swedish Medical Center and as an ICU Nurse at Denver Health. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Colorado College of Nursing, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Wesleyan University.
