Ross Carmichael began their work experience as a Professional Athlete, playing basketball from August 2000 to 2004. Ross then transitioned to the U.S. Department of Labor, working as an Attorney/Investigator from 2006 to 2012. In this role, they conducted investigations on Employee Benefit Plans to ensure compliance with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and performed various legal tasks such as drafting compliance letters, subpoenas, referral memoranda, and conducting legal research. Since 2012, Ross Carmichael has been the Managing Director of Compliance and Operations - Employee Benefits at Higginbotham.
Ross Carmichael completed their education as follows:
- From 2005 to 2008, they attended Texas A&M University School of Law and obtained a Juris Doctor degree.
- In 2012 to 2014, they studied at The Wharton School and earned a certification as a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist.
- In 1999 to 2000, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in History at UC Santa Barbara.
- From 1996 to 1998, they attended Texas Tech University, focusing on History and Communication Studies.
In addition to their educational studies, Ross Carmichael also holds a certification as a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP).
