Quentin Lau has a diverse work experience starting in 2001. Quentin began as a Production Manager at Conversions Sign Products and later became the General Manager. In 2004, they joined Lloyd's Register as a Trainee and later worked as a System Support Engineer. Quentin then transitioned to a role as a Project Manager and Manager of the Project Management Office. In 2010, Quentin became an Area Manager at Lloyd's Register before joining High Arctic Energy Services in 2015 as a Maintenance Planner. Quentin further progressed in the company, serving as Maintenance & Engineering Manager and eventually becoming the Head of Maintenance & Engineering. Quentin's roles involved implementing best practices, developing and maintaining technical standards, ensuring compliance, and optimizing equipment performance.
Quentin Lau's education history includes a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from HZ University of Applied Sciences, which they pursued from 2004 to 2006. Before that, they attended Delft University of Technology from 2003 to 2004, also obtaining a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Quentin Lau completed their Pre-University Education at Stedelijke Scholen Gemeenschap Middelburg, which spanned from 1994 to 2000.
In addition to their formal education, Quentin Lau has obtained various certifications. Quentin completed a course in Error Proofing from SIRF Roundtables in December 2017, a Surface Well Control Equipment Course from Lloyd's Register in June 2015, and Field Safety Training from Lloyd's Register in July 2014. Quentin Lau also participated in a Rig Inspection Workshop from Lloyd's Register in August 2013 and underwent Commercial Awareness Training from Lloyd's Register in November 2012. Furthermore, they received certifications in Client Focus from Pieterman in December 2005 and Internal Auditor Training from Lloyd's Register in November 2005.
