Jonathan Thompson

Jonathan Thompson is an accomplished editor, writer, and founder with extensive experience in journalism and publishing. Since January 2021, Jonathan has served as the Editor for The Land Desk, a newsletter focused on Western lands and cultures. As the founder of Lost Souls Press, Jonathan aims to support underrepresented literary works, with an upcoming title authored by Jonathan. In addition to freelance work for various publications, Jonathan has held significant editorial positions, including Senior Editor at High Country News and Editor-in-Chief at the same publication, overseeing both print and web content. Jonathan has authored works such as "River of Lost Souls," has earned accolades for journalistic achievements, and holds degrees in mathematics and philosophy from St. John's College as well as a fellowship in journalism from the University of Colorado Boulder.
