Troy Bailey

Troy Bailey is an experienced educational professional with a diverse background in teaching, program development, and research. Currently serving as a Substitute Teacher at High Desert Education Service District since November 2021, Troy enjoys engaging with students across various grades and abilities. A Professional Development Advocate at SIL International since January 2013, Troy tracks individuals' progress toward consultant certification in language and education. Additionally, as Director of Literacy Initiatives, Troy identifies program needs and fosters partnerships for quality education. Troy has a history of founding educational consulting services, supporting multilingual education programs, and conducting sociolinguistic research. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Applied Linguistics from the University of Hyderabad and an MA in Applied Linguistics from Portland State University.
