Hiyas Bennett

Hiyas Bennett is an experienced educator currently serving as a Substitute Teacher at Oxford Preparatory Academy Charter Schools since February 2022 and as an Instructional Facilitator at Cypress Village Elementary since September 2021. Previously, Hiyas held the position of Special Education Aide at Oxford Preparatory Academy Elementary from June 2016 to September 2020 and worked as a Sub Proctor at Oxford Preparatory Academy from June 2013 to May 2016, focusing on student safety and engagement. In addition, Hiyas has a background as a Polynesian Instructor for Hana Hou Polynesia from 2007 to January 2019, promoting cultural dance in the South Orange County community. Hiyas has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University, earned between 2018 and 2021, and studied Merchandise Marketing at The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising from 1996 to 1998. Prior experience includes a role as a Billing Specialist at LSA Associates, Inc. from 2003 to 2011.
