William Crowe

CEO at High Earth Orbit Robotics

William Crowe has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. William currently serves as the CEO of High Earth Orbit Robotics, a company that utilizes swarm technology and nanosatellites to acquire high-quality imagery of satellites, space-debris, and asteroids. William has been in this role since March 2016.

Prior to that, Crowe worked as a facilitator at UNSW Innovations from January 2019 to December 2021.

William also worked as an Astrodynamics Consultant at CSIRO from September 2019 to September 2020. In this role, they assisted with the trajectory design of the CubeSat to Mars (C2M) concept, including creating trajectory options and simulating different orbits and transfers.

Before their time at CSIRO, Crowe was a PhD Candidate and Tutor at UNSW Australia from February 2014 to November 2018. Their research focused on spacecraft swarms and their application in characterizing asteroids during flybys.

Additionally, they have freelance experience as a Speculative Fiction Writer from September 2012 to January 2015.

Crowe began their career as a Graduate Engineer at RailCorp, where they held various roles in noise and vibration, train condition monitoring, and timetable analysis from July 2009 to July 2012.

William Crowe pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Space Flight Dynamics from UNSW during the period of 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2010, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering, also from UNSW.
