Thomas Dolby is an English musician, singer, songwriter, producer, and actor. Thomas was born on October 14th, 1958 in London, England. Thomas's father, Martin Dolby, was a sound engineer for the BBC, and their mother, Angela Dolby, was a writer. Thomas Dolby was educated at Westminster School and at the age of eighteen they studied natural sciences at Cambridge University.
Dolby began their career in the early 1980s as a keyboard player with Bruce Woolley and the Camera Club. Thomas also worked with other artists including Prefab Sprout, Thomas Dolby has released eight solo albums, most notably 1982's The Golden Age of Wireless and 1984's The Flat Earth. Thomas is currently an advisor at High Fidelity.
