Jackie Stoddart Best

Jackie Stoddart Best, MA, LAMFT, currently serves as an Adolescent Mental Health Counselor at High Focus Centers since February 2023. Previously, Jackie held the position of Marriage and Family Therapist at Family Service League, providing therapy for couples, families, and individuals while running a support group for survivors of sexual assault. Jackie's diverse experience includes roles as an Academic Counselor for the STEMatics Program at Bergen Community College, Director of Student Services at Everglades University, and Professor of Psychology at Bergen Community College, where courses included General Psychology and Abnormal Psychology. Earlier experience includes managing grants for the NYU Child Study Center and serving as a Psychoeducational Group Therapist at Ramapo Ridge Psychiatric Hospital. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Educational/Applied Psychology from New York University, a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Kean University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland. Additional coursework in Substance Abuse Counseling and Harm Reduction Therapy was completed at The New School.
