In 1989, High Jump started with a single, mighty mission: To bring equity to education for Chicago middle grade students who have exhibited academic potential and who are of limited academic means.

Today, that mission is stronger than ever. High Jump empowers Chicago’s middle schoolers to become well-rounded leaders through our tuition-free programs with one-of-a-kind experiences, resources, and educational support for curious and motivated 7th and 8th-grade students who want to challenge themselves academically.

The Leadership Team at High Jump is a dedicated group of senior executives responsible for steering the strategic direction of the organization. Through their combined expertise in education, finance, strategy, and operations, the Leadership Team works to fulfill High Jump’s mission of providing equitable, high-quality education to academically promising middle school students from underserved communities in Chicago.

The Teaching Team at High Jump is responsible for delivering and developing enriching, tuition-free educational programs for 7th and 8th-grade students in Chicago. This team includes a diverse group of educators specializing in subjects such as humanities, visual arts, leadership, and high school planning. Together, they create and implement curricula designed to challenge students academically and foster their growth as well-rounded leaders.

The Campus and Program Management team at High Jump is responsible for overseeing and executing the organization's educational and enrichment programs for middle school students. This includes coordinating campus activities, managing program logistics, providing social work support, and fostering relationships with alumni to ensure continuous engagement and support. The team ensures the delivery of High Jump's mission to provide equitable educational opportunities and develop well-rounded, academically driven young leaders.

The Investment and Strategy Team at High Jump focuses on securing and managing financial resources to support the organization's mission of providing equitable educational opportunities for Chicago middle schoolers. The team develops and executes strategic initiatives, identifies investment opportunities, and ensures the sustainable growth and financial health of High Jump’s tuition-free programs.

The Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery Team at High Jump focuses on providing specialized medical care and surgical interventions for middle school students with musculoskeletal issues. By ensuring students remain physically healthy and able, this team supports the overarching mission of empowering academically promising students to fully participate in and benefit from High Jump's educational programs.

The Marketing and Communications Team at High Jump is responsible for promoting the organization's mission and programs. They manage and analyze donor data, cultivate relationships with individual donors, and design strategic communication and marketing campaigns to increase awareness and support for empowering Chicago’s middle schoolers.
