Head Of Performance Physiology at High Performance Sport New Zealand

Caroline MacManus has a strong background in performance science and physiology in the field of sports. Caroline is currently the Head of Performance Physiology at High Performance Sport New Zealand, where they manage performance support services. Prior to this, they worked as a Specialist in Performance Science. In their previous role as the Head of Athletic Performance at Rowing NZ, they led a coaching and support team to ensure the alignment of coaching and performance objectives. Caroline also has experience as a Senior Performance Scientist at High Performance Sport New Zealand, where they supported the NZ rowing team during the Tokyo campaign and provided strategic direction for performance science teams. Earlier in their career, they served as the Performance Services Manager at Sport Ireland Institute and worked as an Exercise Physiologist at Sport Ireland. Overall, Caroline MacManus has significant expertise in performance science and a track record of successful accomplishments in their field.

Caroline MacManus completed their education in a chronological order. From 1992 to 1995, they attended Nottingham Trent University where they pursued a degree in Sports (Admin and Science) with a focus on Sport Science. Later, from 1998 to 2000, Caroline pursued a Master of Health Science (Sport and Exercise) degree at the University of Sydney, specializing in muscle physiology, biomechanics, and exercise science. Lastly, from 2005 to 2009, they attended the University of Limerick to complete a degree in Physiotherapy.
