Michael Smith

Michael Smith has a diverse range of work experience in the financial industry. Michael started their career in 2006 at BB&T, where they held various roles including Credit Analyst and Vice President/Florida Municipal Loan Officer. During this time, they were responsible for managing the municipal loan portfolio for the State of Florida and generating and underwriting significant financing requests. In 2014, Michael joined Olean Area Federal Credit Union, where they held multiple roles including Senior Commercial Lender, Commercial Operations Manager, Director of Commercial Lending, and Vice President of Lending. Overall, Michael has developed a strong background in commercial lending and operations management.

Michael Smith earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University at Buffalo School of Management, The State University of New York, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Michael also completed the BB&T Leadership Development Program with a focus on Banking from 2006 to 2007. In 2011, they participated in the Farr Associates Leadership Development Program, specializing in Mastering Leadership Dynamics.
