Andrew Staley has a diverse work experience in the fields of technical art, customer support, 3D modeling, game design, and education.
Their most recent position is as a Technical Artist at High Voltage Software, where they work with various tools and software to create assets for video games.
Prior to that, they worked at Apple in several roles, including Applecare Advisor, Technical Expert, Technical Specialist, and Genius. In these positions, they provided remote technical support for Apple devices, mentored and advised new support specialists, and created detailed case notes.
Andrew also worked as a Freelance 3D Artist at Saganworks, optimizing and texturing game-ready assets, and as a Contract Environment Artist at Villainous Games.
Andrew has experience in virtual reality (VR) and gaming as well. Andrew served as the Lead Designer at Dark Catt Studios, where they designed VR games and led multidisciplinary teams.
In addition, they have taught and developed curriculum for FPS Game Design using Unreal Engine 3 at iD Tech Camps and held artistic roles at The University of Illinois.
Andrew Staley attended The Art Institutes from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Video Game Art and Design. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2009, they also attended The Illinois Institute of Art - Chicago, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Video Game Design.
