Ardavan Bidgoli, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Currently, they are working at Higharc as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer. Prior to this, they worked as a Research and Development Contractor at the same company. In 2023, they were a Computational Design for Robotic Assembly Consultant at Molg.
Ardavan has also been involved in teaching and research roles at Carnegie Mellon University. Ardavan was an Adjunct Instructor, teaching Architectural Robotics, from August to December 2022. Before this, they served as a Lead Instructor for a course on Machine Learning applications in Design and Architecture and a Graduate Instructor for Introduction to Architectural Robotics. Ardavan also worked as a Robotics Fellow at the university.
In addition, Ardavan has gained internship experiences at Autodesk. Ardavan was a Creative Technologist Intern at Autodesk in 2019, working on Project Chivo. Ardavan also interned at Autodesk in 2018 for Robotics in Construction and in 2017 for Design and Fabrication in AR/VR. In 2016, they were a Computational Design and Fabrication Intern at Autodesk.
Before joining Autodesk, Ardavan worked as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at Penn State University from 2014 to 2016. Ardavan was also a Product Manager Intern at Bentley Systems in 2015.
Ardavan Bidgoli, Ph.D., completed their Bachelor's Degree in Architecture at the University of Tehran from 2004 to 2009. Ardavan then pursued a Master's Degree in Architecture at the same university, graduating in 2012. In 2014 and 2015, Bidgoli attended Penn State University, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Design Computation. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computational Design at Carnegie Mellon University, starting in 2016 and expected to finish in 2022.
