Shelley Thompson

Shelley Thompson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in community engagement and development. Currently serving as the Director of Advancement for Community Engagement at St. Andrew's School since August 2023, Shelley has held various leadership roles at Higher Achievement, including Sr. Manager of Development and Sr. Center Director, since May 2017. Previous positions include Adjunct Faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University, Site Coordinator at Communities In Schools of Richmond, and Program Director at YMCA of Greater Richmond, where management of multiple departments at the largest branch was achieved. Shelley's early career included serving as a Community Outreach Specialist for the United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg. Shelley earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration from James Madison University in 1999, and graduated from Goochland High School in 1995.
