Vish Akre (Ph.D.

Vish Akre holds a PhD in Information Technology from the University of Salford and has extensive experience in academia and industry. Currently, Vish serves as an Assistant Professor, Program Team Leader, and Divisional Chair in Computer and Information Science at the Higher Colleges of Technology since August 2012. Prior to this role, Vish was a faculty member at Manipal University Dubai Campus from October 2004 to July 2012 and contributed to the Master's dissertation committee for Computing Programs at the University of Liverpool from 2009 to June 2012. Vish's professional background also includes a position as Head of IT Division at Empire Industries from June 2001 to August 2004. Academic qualifications encompass a Master of Science in Computer Software Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College.
