Andrew Hibel

Andrew Hibel has over 20 years of work experience. Andrew co-founded and served as the Chief Operating Officer of HigherEdJobs, where they were responsible for various functions including finance, budget, legal, human resources, and business development. Andrew successfully acquired a competitor's business, established a 401(k) and profit sharing plan, negotiated complex contracts with universities, and secured trademarks, copyrights, and a patent for the company. Andrew also contributed to HigherEdJobs' editorial and social media content. Prior to that, they held roles at the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago as the Director of Gift Planning and Estate Administration, at Advocate Health Care as the Vice President of Planned Giving, and at Penn State University as the Assistant Director of Planned Giving.

Andrew Hibel's education history begins in 1986 when they enrolled at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Andrew pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and graduated in 1990. Following this, from 1990 to 1993, Andrew attended the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where they earned their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

After completing their law degree, Andrew returned to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1993 to pursue a Master's degree in Education, which they obtained in 1994. This demonstrates their interest and commitment to both the fields of education and law.
