Dr. Joseph Wheatley

Dr. Joseph Wheatley has a diverse and impressive work experience. In 2017, they completed a Biomedical Vacation Scholarship with the Wellcome Trust. In 2018, they began a PhD Student role at the University of Warwick, where they wrote a chapter for Springer's book: 'Advances in Synthetic Biology' which was published in April 2020. In 2020, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Clubbie, where they took the lead in developing a brand new Clubbie product from scratch, including the addition of several new innovative features. Dr. Joseph also held a Non Executive Director role at Clubbie, where they supported the further development of the Clubbie platform and fortified strategic partnerships with key players in the space. In 2020, they also took on the role of Chief Of Staff at HigherSteaks, where they worked closely with the CEO and CSO on a range of strategic initiatives. Dr. Joseph also took time off consulting at HigherSteaks to focus on completing their PhD thesis. Additionally, they held a Scientific Research Consultant role and a Research & Development Internship role.

Dr. Joseph Wheatley began their educational journey in 2008 at St. Benedict's Catholic High School. Dr. Joseph then attended Alcester Grammar School from 2013 to 2015, where they studied Biology, Psychology, and Business Studies. In 2015, they graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Aston University. Dr. Joseph then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy in Bioengineering at the University of Warwick, which they completed in 2022.
