James Speak

James Speak is a Senior Bioprocess Engineer II at Uncommon, where James leads the technical bioprocess team in industrializing a novel lab-scale process using porcine IPSCs to produce cultivated meat. Prior to this role, James worked at Lonza as a Lead R&D Engineer, focusing on scaling up innovative technologies for biologics manufacturing. James has experience in planning and executing studies, analyzing data, and utilizing DOE in microbioreactor runs. James also has a background in upstream mammalian cell culture and holds a degree from Northumbria University.
