Emma Jean Severide

Emma Jean Severide currently serves as the Director of Highland's Baptist Church Afterschool Program and Girl's Associate at Highland Baptist Church in Waco, Texas, since August 2019. In this role, Emma collaborates with college staff for sermon preparation, event planning, and student counseling while acting as a liaison between college students and staff. Previously, Emma held positions at Pine Cove from May 2019 to October 2023, advancing from Summer Camp Counselor to Senior Counselor and then Assistant Program Director, where responsibilities included oversight of camp activities and daily devotionals. Emma's educational background includes dual Bachelor's degrees in Family and Consumer Sciences and Child and Family Studies & Religion from Baylor University, completed in 2022.
