Highland Community College
Sharon Kibbe, M.S.M. joined the college in August 2018. She has over 15 years of experience in higher education, most recently employed at Bethany College as Visiting Professor of Business-Accounting prior to joining Highland Community College. She was also the Department Chair for Business at Brown Mackie College in Salina, Kansas. Sharon is a native Kansan attending Pittsburg State University and Friends University for her undergraduate and graduate degrees respectively. She is currently completing a Doctorate in education from Grand Canyon University. Additionally, Sharon worked in healthcare, running a non-profit hospice and assisted living facility in central Kansas.

Highland Community College
The first college in Kansas began as Highland University in 1858. Approximately 2,700 students are enrolled on the main campus or at their 33 regional locations in nine county service area. HCC offers Associate degrees in 50 concentration areas and has 15 programs that are technical education degrees. The main campus is located in Highland, KS with regional locations in Baileyville, Holton, Perry, Wamego, and a technical center in Atchison.
