Brenda West

Brenda West, SHRM-SCP, has over 23 years of experience in various HR roles in the education sector. Brenda most recently worked as the Executive Director of Human Resources at Highland Park ISD since June 2016. Prior to that, Brenda served as the Executive Director of Human Resources Services at Lewisville ISD from June 2008 to June 2016, where they were responsible for managing all HR functions for a district with over 53,000 students. Brenda also worked as the Director at Kermit ISD from July 2002 to June 2008, collaborating with the Superintendent on curriculum development and implementing improvement initiatives. Brenda began their career in education at Raymondville ISD in August 1993 and progressed through various leadership positions, ultimately serving as an Administrator and overseeing all HR and instructional functions.

Brenda West, SHRM-SCP, obtained a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Texas State University from 1994 to 1996. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas State University from 1990 to 1993. In addition, they obtained the SHRM-SCP certification from SHRM in August 2019.
