Heidi Smith holds a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from the iSchool at Illinois and dual Master's and Bachelor's Degrees in Music Performance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Currently serving as the Executive Director at Highland Park Public Library since January 2021, Heidi previously held the position of Library Director at Park Ridge Public Library and Assistant Director at Waukegan Public Library. Throughout a career spanning from 2006 to the present, Heidi has successfully led various library services, enhanced community engagement, and managed diverse teams, significantly contributing to the advancement of library operations and programs.

We offer a large collection of fiction and nonfiction for children and adults, reference assistance, child and adult programming, ebooks and downloadable audiobooks, a local historical reference collection, one-on-one computer classes, access to online resources, free Wi-Fi, and desktop and laptop computers with Microsoft Office 2007 and Internet access.
